Youth Leadership Program

For Youth ages 16- 25 

​

Provides leadership and volunteer opportunities within CCF and alongside community partners. These opportunities may include but are not limited to organizing events, support with running events, public speaking, life skill development, mentorship, intergenerational knowledge exchange, etc. Youth will be provided with volunteer hours, letters of recommendation, and/or references. *Minimum 3 hours required.

Past Leadership Opportunities

YOUTH
WELLNESS
KIT PROJECT

Collaboration with Rural Mental Health Network, Spruce Grove FCSS, & WestView PCN

Work together with the Community Animator and Spruce Grove FCSS throughout the Design, Deploy and Debrief phase of this project.

 

Participation included:
- Providing feedback on which tangible items or activities should be included in each of CMHA’s 8 Domains of Mental Health.
- Assembling 130 wellness kits

- Providing feedback on how the video should be filmed.
- Participating in the filming of the video for the project.
- Providing feedback on how the wellness kits will be accessed in the community.

HALLOWEEN
IN CENTRAL PARK

Collaboration with Tri-Region Integrated Youth Services, Tri Leisure Centre, and Spruce Grove Skatepark Association.

Participation included:
- Providing feedback on when, where and how the event should be run.
- Assembling 150+ treat bags with resources

- Assist with set up and take down of the event

- Assist in treat bag distribution

- Connect with community members
